Workflow
- Rough Concept (if the client doesn’t have any concept or references)




If a client doesn’t have a clear concept or references but needs a 3D model urgently, I can handle rough concepting and reference research to translate their ideas into a clear and accurate result.
- Collecting References


Collecting references are crucial to achieving a visually pleasing 3D model, as every major form and subtle detail is carefully selected from real-world references representing the subject at its best.
- Sculpting / Modelling








All sculpting is done in ZBrush using a customized UI and hotkeys for a faster, more efficient workflow. Techniques are refined through long-term, high-difficulty personal projects.


- Retopology



Retopology is performed based on client agreement. The client specifies the desired or maximum triangle count, and the topology is carefully constructed to preserve the model’s silhouette while ensuring smooth rigging and animation results.







- UV Unwrap + Layout




UV unwrapping is performed with great care, ensuring optimal packing density, correct orientation, consistent scaling, and industry-standard texel density. Optimization techniques are based on production standards taught by Crytivo, a studio with extensive experience in stylized 3D game development.
- Baking + Texturing






Baking is performed with great care to ensure clean results, minimizing artifacts and preserving fine surface details.
Texturing is executed carefully to match the illustrator’s original concept art as closely as possible, resulting in a distinctive, hand-painted look with a high-quality stylized finish.

- Rigging & Animation





Rigging is executed with proper weight painting to achieve smooth, natural animation and stable character deformation.



- Rendering




Renders are provided for game promotion purposes, featuring proper lighting, a suitable background color, and carefully adjusted facial expressions or poses to best present the character.

- 3D Printing



The character can also be brought into physical form as a collectible figure. Zaru is my original intellectual property and is currently in the process of IP registration.
The production pipeline follows a refined workflow, including concept development, reference research, sculpting, posing, resin printing, curing, airbrushing, and final assembly.
